Attack Volleyball Frequently Asked Questions and Facts for Club Volleyball
Do you have a busy schedule? No time for another meeting? Well, here at Attack Volleyball Club, we wanted to take the hustle and bustle out of selecting a travel volleyball club easy for you and your family. This year we have introduced the following Fact and Frequently asked questions form to prepare you for the season without the travel to yet another meeting!
How to choose a volleyball club that best suits the player and the family?
Club volleyball requires an investment of both time and money. It is critical for every family to be educated, so please take the time to read through this information. Being informed helps to make sure you are aware of as much as you can find out about the club and what is available to you before making any decisions. When looking at club fees, compare Apples to Apples, not Apples to Oranges! Please don't make assumptions like a big club is better than a small club, or because something costs more, it is better. Don't assume the right fit for your friend is the right fit for you. Talk to several different clubs as you start to gather information.
*Coach hotel fees are included in Attack tuition. Parents will not owe Attack more every weekend to house the coach. Be informed and ask questions no matter what club you decide to choose this season. Find your volleyball home!

· We try to place as many athletes as possible, but we are always limited by the number of courts and the number of coaches we have as we try to put no more than 10 athletes per team.
· At the 10U/12U level – Any athlete that is not placed in the program is recommended for private instruction or in-house training.
· At the 13U/14U level – We use a combination of athletic testing and skill evaluation to determine the best fit for each program. Position choice is taken into consideration, but we do move athletes to what we believe is the best fit.
· At the 15U-18U level – We use a combination of athletic testing and skill evaluation to determine the best fit for each program. Position choice of the athlete is strongly taken into consideration, but we do move athletes to what we believe is the best fit. Position placement does influence our ability to make teams (we can’t have a team of all setters).
Once you have gathered this information, take a minute to think about what you hope to get out of the experience.

Does my child want to play in high school? At what level in college?
Does my child just want to enjoy the game and play with friends?
What is my child's priority for allocating free time: job, activities with friends, other club sports, etc.?

We are committed to providing athletes with a competitive experience that enhances social development, contributes to the teaching of fundamental values including responsibility, teamwork, self-discipline and self-motivation.
Simple…we care about your kids! We strive for our student-athletes to become strong independent leaders and role models amongst their peers on and off the court. Someone once posed the question; “Who are you when no one is watching?” We want to coach players who can use that as motivation to work harder, work stronger, be dedicated to the sport they love, to their studies, their family and show us that they want to learn.
We are committed to providing athletes with a competitive experience that enhances social development, contributes to the teaching of fundamental values including responsibility, teamwork, self-discipline and self-motivation. Our focus is placed on athletes learning and implementing specific techniques, skills and strategies to become the best volleyball player they can be. The expectation is that participants arrive eager and prepared to respond to the challenges that come with improvement and growth.
Sit down as a family and figure out which clubs match your player's goals, commitment level, financial situation, etc. Once you have picked several top choices, look at the registration requirement for tryouts. You will need to register for the tryout through each individual club as they are a separate organization. One club may decide to offer you a roster spot while a different club may not, so be prepared with your options.
~ All the information and answers to these questions are located on the Attack Website in the Information packet or in the tryout/teams section. If you have a question and you cannot find an answer on our website, please go to the contact section and send us an email and we will guide you through the process.
