Jon attended Pewamo Westphalia High School class of 2005, where he was a 3 sport athlete playing football, basketball, and running track. Jon won 2 State Titles in the 110m hurdles in high school and went on to run the 110m hurdles and throw javelin for Lansing Community College. Jon then began playing volleyball for the Michigan State Men’s team where he traveled and played for the Green Team. Jon’s first coaching experience was working with 7th and 8th Grade athletes at East Lansing Middle School as an assistant and has continued adding to his experience by coaching at several local high schools. He is currently coaching at his Alma Mater, Pewamo Westphalia High School.

Over the past 7 years, Jon has coached AAU volleyball for the Lansing Area Volleyball Association, and for Attack Volleyball Club. Jon also coaches club volleyball at Michigan State University as the Head Coach of the White Team, where in his 1st season led his team to a #2 ranking in the Country.

Jon actively plays in coed leagues at the YMCA and many adult competitive tournaments around the Midwest. Jon provides our Attack athletes with a strong foundation in the areas of Attacking and Jump Serving.

We are excited to have Jon coaching our 18U National Black Team, and we know that our athletes will be well prepared for success for this upcoming club season and beyond. Jon lives in the Lansing Area and works as an IT Consultant at Lehman Wesley & Associates. Jon shared, “I’m proud to be part of the Attack Family, and thank God for blessing me with Jodi and Kevin who have given me the privilege to be a part of a growing Family of great coaches, athletes, and supportive and caring parents.”
